It contains a variety of code snippets so that concepts are made clear through the use of examples. "PMML in Action" is a great way to learn how to represent your predictive models through a mature open standard. The book is divided into six parts, taking you into a PMML journey in which language elements and attributes are used to represent not only modeling techniques but also data transformations. With PMML, users benefit from a single and concise standard to represent data and models, thus avoiding the need for custom code and proprietary solutions. You too can join the PMML movement! Definitions in Information Management : A Guide to the Fundamental Semantic Metadata

Summary
No book on definitions has been been published since Richard Robinson's "Definitions" in 1950, and none have ever been oriented to information. Indeed, very little has ever been published anywhere on the role of definitions in information management. Yet everyone agrees that definitions, that meaning, is an essential component of information management. In a new book, Malcolm Chisholm explores the special needs of definitions for information. Practical guidance is provided and both the subject-centric and data-centic aspects of definitions for data are examined.

Summary
Baseline Consulting, an acknowledged leader in information design and deployment to improve business performance and realize strategic objectives, released the results of an international market survey which found that approximately one-third of enterprise organizations worldwide have undertaken more than two Master Data Management (MDM) implementations, suggesting that MDM has moved beyond the pilot stage and is coming of age. The survey, titled Master Data Management Projects in Practice, was conducted to gain deeper insight into the levels of expertise, experience and usage of systems integrators specifically related to undertaking MDM implementations. Baseline Consulting was a sponsor of the survey. More than 130 respondents completed the survey from countries worldwide. A high proportion (more than 40 percent) of the respondents came from companies with annual revenues greater than $1 billion.
