Printronix Signs Distribution Alliance with Ingram Micro

Ingram Micro will market Printronix's industrial enterprise printers in the United Kingdom.

Printronix Inc. an integrated supply-chain printing solutions manufacturer recently announced it has expanded its distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Inc. a technology distributor, to market Printronix's industrial enterprise printers in the United Kingdom.

Under this agreement, Ingram Micro UK will add Printronix's SmartLine family of world-class ultra-high frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) and RFID-ready thermal bar code printing systems to its inventory for distribution to automatic identification/data capture (AIDC) and mobile computing product resellers and integrators.

"Printronix has enjoyed a long-standing distribution relationship with Ingram Micro, and they are a key partner in our global channel sales strategy," said Claus Hinge, Vice President, Sales, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Printronix. "Printronix entered into a North American distribution agreement with Ingram Micro in August 2006, followed by an agreement with Ingram Micro's SymTech Division earlier this year. Today's expansion of this agreement points to rising European demand for Printronix's technology, solutions and service leadership and the increasing importance of thermal bar code and RFID printing technologies to end users in the United Kingdom."
